Punk Aid: Aceh Calling is going to be an immense album featuring a vast variety of punk bands to support the Indonesian punks that were wrongfully detained in December 2011. They were treated horrifically, forced to remove their clothes, receive hair cuts, and various other unnecessary actions.
This album contains bands from all over the world supporting them. This shows that the punk community is listening and wants to avail as much as they can. The album will be out on March 1st. The album will be available to download for $5, include a downloadable booklet. There will also be a CD version (5 CDs total due to the large quantity of bands). All proceeds from the album will go to Movement Records in Indonesia. They will distribute the funds to those who need it.
