Punk is not about causing riots and destruction. It's not a trend, but a lifestyle. Through musical expression it often voices against the social norms, social standards, corruption, systems, and morally wrong. They scream out for better human rights, animal rights, environment, freedom, and peace.Asides from political, environmental, and societal hardships, it also expresses a great time in living life through personal experiences.
Punk is not just about music. It is not all about sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll. It is about creativity, community, equality, freedom, individuality, politics, questioning, self-expression, and unity.
Many involved in punk have the do-it-yourself aesthetic. Making their own record labels, making their own albums, their own art, their own poetry, their own music, etc. Laziness is rare.
