Community Avails!

Adali Gutierrez and his family were celebrating his birthday, when suddenly they were victims of drug violence in Mexico. Adali and his siblings lost their parents when this occurred. Adali was seriously injured during the shootings, which gave him lasting scars on his face. Adali is the eldest, 20, and is now left to take care of his four siblings in El Monte, CA.

After hearing the tragic news, the community was compelled to help out Adali and his family. They have been donating whatever they can. Some who are struggling themselves, pitched in what they could to avail the family. Although most of the donators come from a modest background, there is a doctor, Dr. Timothy Miller - chief of plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, who offered his reconstructive services to Adali. Adali is scheduled to go in on Monday.

Communal support to an unfortunate family, who lost their caregivers, shows that humanity still cares for one another.
